Wall Cladding

Wall cladding can add a whole new dimension to an extension or new build in both the domestic and commercial environments.

Current construction trends include using mixed media to create an interesting visual aesthetic with timber being a prominent feature. But sadly, timber finishes fade fairly rapidly because the maintenance is so difficult. Quite quickly a fabulous looking façade can look tired and shabby transforming the building’s look in ways the owners never intended.

Timba - Timber Look Wall Cladding

Take heart all you timber lovers. Designer Panel Systems has a range of Timba products that don’t fade, shrink, discolour, chip, split or warp and most importantly if you’re in a bushfire zone, they don’t burn!

Yes, the Timba range is flame-zone proof which is the highest BAL rating possible. Manufactured from coil form, it comes in four colours: Mountain Ash, Flooded Gum, Walnut and Pinetar.

Roofrite was recently involved in the installation of Timba wall cladding to the rear of a renovation of a 1940s postwar weatherboard in Rosanna.

The transformation here is quite remarkable and the look of the property has changed dramatically as can be seen from the before and after images below.

The color used in this example is Flooded Gum with Colorbond Night Sky flashings to complement the black aluminium doors. Add some up-down lighting and the Timba takes on a gorgeous warm tone.

Thermal Efficiency

One of the questions we’re often asked about metal wall cladding is whether it gets generates heat inside the building. The Diversaclad Plus system offers all the features of the lightweight, low maintenance Diversaclad Panel, but with the benefit of greater thermal efficiency as it incorporates DOW Tuff-R technology to create a wa;; cladding system with insulating properties that provide a thermal barrier rating of up to R3.127.

So, if you’re considering using natural timber in your renovation, why not consider Timba wall cladding instead? You’re guaranteed to save time and money in installation costs as well as on the future ongoing maintenance costs.
