Colorbond steel has a myriad of uses: roofing, guttering, fencing, sheds, walling. It’s used with great versatility in traditional to contemporary to ultra modern situations.
One of the latest products added to Bluescope’s product range is Colorbond Metallic Steel.
A new paint type and production method has enabled the placement of mica particles in the paint system with the end result being an iridescent finish that glitters when sunshine washes over the metal surface.
Colorbond have introduced six colours in the metallic range: Cosmic, Astro, Galactic, Rhea, Celestian and Aries.
At first glance, the colour Aries appears to be a bronzed brown hue but when the light catches it, it takes on a luxurious tone of shimmering copper. Imagine that on the walls of an ultra contemporary extension!
Celestian initially appears as a pleasant shade of dark grey until the light catches the mica particles within. Suddenly it comes alive glittering and sparkling.
These really are luxurious metallic and could be used internally as well as externally. All six colours could be used to great advantage for wall cladding.
